Center for Distributed Learning, Butte County Office of Education
The Center for Distributed Learning is a full service design and production division of Butte County
Office of Education. PD-ROM is made available through the CoursePath Learning Management Platform,
developed by CDL. The Center for Distributed Learning not only provides creative solutions to meet
PD-ROM's goals, they also are an ongoing technical resource for the PD-ROM team.
Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC)
CENIC has been instrumental in establishing the PD-ROM partner collaborative, providing the necessary
initial coordination to develop the proposal that has ultimately become the basis for the PD-ROM project.
Once the pilot program has completed (in late 2006), PD-ROM will be made available to all educators in
California via the Digital California Project (DCP), a high speed digital network connecting all
California K-20 educational institutions.
